Just finished the Master Level Workshop, and the work that was created was thoughtful, challenging and exciting.
Each artist worked on developing their personal artistic style while also learning how to market their art.
Marketing comes down to learning about your collectors, how to manage your time, should you blog and if so why, being honest as to how you view yourself as an artist and doing all this without going crazy yet doing it with style.
There were some major breakthroughs of which we all celebrated.
I hope the weather where you live is as gorgeous as here in Taos because it has been incredible. Golden leaves swirl welcoming the new season.
THE FEAR OF “YES”
This summer I heard from many artists about their fears…each artist thinking they were the only one with such deep-rooted fears.
Fear has a purpose….it is to keep you in your warm, comfortable box.
Fear keeps you small.
Fear encourages you to abandon your creativity and place it neatly in an empty corner of your heart, never to be seen or shared.
It is ok to feel fear but not ok to let it consume and control you. You are meant to share your creativity with the world.
You can forgive yourself for not starting your painting career earlier….you know what I mean…when you had more energy and determination.
You can forgive yourself for not becoming the best artist in the world.
You can forgive yourself for putting off what your soul screamed it wanted and needed.
You can forgive yourself for being afraid to show your work to your friends and the world.
But to not try? You cannot forgive yourself for this selfish act.
Now is your time to say goodbye to fear and “YES” to what you came here to do and be.
Enjoy your new and exciting journey.
