My wonderful assistant Barb tragically lost her best friend…. 11 year old black lab named Augie. You’d never have guessed this bouncy boy’s age by watching him, sleek and full of energy, happily greeting Barb every day ready for a new adventure.
As with large dogs there is the possibility of their stomach twisting which cuts off the blood supply to that organ.
This is what happened to Augie.
Augie had a big personality and he lingers large in our hearts.
Just another reason to give an extra hug to the animals that make your life whole.
