Just got back from San Diego working with my mastermind group and coach. What an inspiration to be with such a beautiful caring group of people. One evening we toured the San Diego harbor on a very fancy Yacht. As dinner was served laughter and dreams floated over the waves. It was a magical evening.
In this moment I know my mission is to help you grow and become the artist you dream of being. I love you and am honored to be part of your life.
Is Your Art Good Enough?
Ever wonder if your art is “good enough”? Of course you have….every artist wonders this but this wondering and asking yourself about your art is a good thing. Why? Because it causes you to take a second look at your art and find your strengths. What about your weaknesses? Are they important? Every artist has weaknesses in their art but it is your strengths that are important.
It is your strengths that determine your artistic style.
It is your strengths that make your art stand out
It is your strengths that say “YOU”
Grab that strength and hug it with all your might. It is yours. Love it and build on it. How do you decide what your strengths are? Ask yourself these questions…What am I drawn to? Is it color, value, texture, subject matter, shapes, abstraction, the figure, mood, etc.
Take what you are drawn to and really think about it. What about this excites you? It is this excitement that gives your art passion.
Remember you do not want to paint like someone else…your paintings come from what is deep within your soul. This is a place that only you can reach. Is your art good enough? The other questions to ask are …good enough for what?
Where do you want to go with your art?
What do you want your art to say?
What do you want it to say about you?
There are no wrong answers. This is about you and only you. Take some time and think about this. Your art will grow because you cared enough to visit the possibilities. Let me know what you discover…I would love to hear.
