I just finished my Floral Workshop in Taos, New Mexico and what a great group of women!!! Because they were dedicated and willing to get out of their comfort zone the growth was mind blowing.
When one thinks of painting flowers they automatically think “that would be easy”…..not so fast…flowers are difficult. Why? Because we see flowers every day and we think we know them but so many times the painting ends up stiff and boring. After all, Grandmothers paint flowers ( I can say this because I am a Grandmother). The indication here is it is easy and anyone can can do it.
In order to paint flowers in a way that makes people stop and take a second look you must be willing to stretch your ideas, exaggerate your colors and do a design that is beyond the norm.
Take a look at this class and their paintings…..I think you will be impressed.
