But instead of using a new canvas, I’m going to work on top of a painting I did but didn’t like. This is a great way to reuse your unwanted work and save some money too. Creating new work on top of an old one can be a little different when starting out; the surface has a different feel than regular canvas. But once you’re used to that, you can create something new while including elements or taking inspiration from the original piece.
